croteaumacabre art + illustration
(Art, Marketing, Sales)
Artist / Owner
croteaumacabre art + illustration, is the moniker of Seattle-based artist, Michael Croteau. Using energetic line-work and bold compositions, Michael creates art that explores the tension where the nihilism of horror, the inevitability of the momento mori, and the philosophy of enlightenment meet. Inspired by subjects and touchstones from a variety of pop-culture genres, metaphysics, and historical art movements, Michael's work utilizes the atmosphere, modes, and symbols of the macabre juxtaposed with colorful, psychedelic abstraction.
